Sure, you install Application Performance Management (APM) so that end-users don't have to wait (too long) when programs run. Once APM is in place, though, you'll benefit from integrating it with other tools to speed diagnosis and recovery, AND you'll find it pays off at a higher, strategic level that goes well beyond the tactical goal of shaving a few tenths of a second off response time.
