Although it's clear that Visual SourceSafe isn't the best source control system, it is generally good enough for small programming shops like ours. Our ongoing efforts to open source FOST.3™ gave us the push to re-evaluate our source control as we want to be able to make our repository available to external developers.

I'm going to remain cautiously optimistic that the new "complaint" feature of dzone will not be used like this to express petty differences of opinion. I do not personally believe the complaint above should have been filed because someone prefers SourceSafe over svn - that is lame.

@rick. I agree.. Complaints should be for foul language, unnecessary personal attacks, etc.. Not for expressing your opinion.

maybe we need another label for marking down.
"disagree", so people can just express a difference of opinion that will accumulate.

I'd say that if the complaint is modded down into the negatives, as this one is, that the "1 complaint" should be removed from the article, so as not to "taint" the article because of some idiot.
