Multi-Language VM: Everything and the kitchen sink
With the success of languages such as Groovy and JRuby written on the JVM, some on the OpenJDK project are looking at ways to make the addition of new languages easier. John Rose has proposed a "Multi-Language VM" for OpenJDK with this as the goal:
