There's been a depressing amount of 'news' over the last couple of days covering a Sun Marketing Droid thinking it would be a good idea to put Java on the iPhone. This shows you what happens when you get a marketing droid doing technical thinking or not even reading the license agreement

For those of you who are just knee-jerk opposed since this seems like it's arguing against Java, it's worth taking a second look. Alex's premise is not that Java shouldn't be on the iPhone, it's that it *can't* be on the iPhone within the confines of Apple's SDK license.

and who said every developer (including partner companies like Sun) will fall into the same SDK restrictions...?
