I'm a Java developer, I'm busy with enterprise systems, Web and Swing desktop apps, I don't care ObjC, it is a niche language for Mac and IPhone desktop apps.
Actually Obj-C is part of the GNU C compiler. You can code, compile and run Objective-C code on pretty much any platform. Niche language or not you can learn a lot about the language you use predominantly by studying other languages.
It is good your advice, thank you but I already study many languages Java, Pascal, Fortran, C, C++, Python, Ruby, Lisp, Basic, Smalltalk, Erlang, Perl, Javascript, Assembly x86 and mips. Learning right now Scala and PHP. Please no more lol.
And all that languages I used Im just using the one that pays the bills is Java and the one I enjoy doing like a hobby is Python.
