according GNU, you can use the software internally without (e.g. inside a organization) without releasing source code. However, if you make binaries publicly available, you should provide "fair easy access to sources"

Open source licensing is all about copyright law which is something the author clearly doesn't understand per the "copyright notice" on his blog.
