More revealing statements have finally surfaced about Oracle's future plans for popular Java tools. Glassfish, OpenOffice, NetBeans and VirtualBox were just some of the items mentioned.

All is just strategic talk. Their support will surely diminish in 1-2 years after the take over. However, I believe they will hang on the Virtualization tools and sparc/solaris duo. As for Java FX, it could be dropped from the box willingly which has near no developer community and support as of now.

You are right in that. I just hope they drive in the right direction Java/JVM/Glassfish and they free MySQL to the community.
