This is big!

You surely would say that about your company's product....no?
Brian LeRoux replied ago:
Of course. I would but I also genuinely believe in the approach and benefit of authoring webapps over objective-c. Faster. More accessible. Easier deployment and upgrading. More developers are proficient in web technolgies. Etc.
The code is completely free / open. Its on Github. What is not to like?

It just feels a little deceitful to make a comment such as yours without stating your interests in the project
Brian LeRoux replied ago:
My interests are entirely selfish I assure you! I far prefer authoring html/javascript to objective-c. That said, this snippy little thread of comments provides all the disclosure a person could need. Cheers, bloid.

I've been talking about doing something similar for months. I described a similar API for Android in January (http://timepedia.blogspot.com/2008/01/project-syndroidsynthesis-of-gwt-and.html), I demoed it during my Google I/O presentation (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2ScPbu8ga1Q, second half), and recently I've been collaborating with folks in my free time to do Syndroid for iPhone yielding a simple to use framework which allows Cocoa APIs to be safely exported into the Javascript environment of a prepackaged app-launcher. The major difference is, I'm looking at creating something that allows apps to run as Web gadgets, iPhone, and Android apps, rather than just expose phone specific features directly.
