Ubuntu 6.06 was released recently, with one of the features being a LAMP solution out of the box. The one thing it was missing that I require for my work is the ability to access MS SQL Server databases as well as MySQL. This article shows how to rebuild PHP with MSSQL support for the Ubuntu distribution. (this process can also apply to Debian with little or no modification)
