PureMVC is a lightweight framework for creating applications based upon the classic Model-View-Controller design meta-pattern. This is the specific implementation for the AS3 language, and the reference implementation for all other PureMVC Ports.

Why is this framework being written in 10 languages? I'm so confused...

I don't what to think of this. I spent entirely too much time trying to figure out what this site is about. All of the documentation is in PDF, which triggered an Adobe PDF update that screwed up my web browser. They apologize that they only have documentation in English, but I think they should try writing documentation in HTML before they worry about Epseranto or Klingon.
I'm very interested in a frameworks for developing better asynchronous applications in Javascript, Java, C# and other languages used for RIA's. They support a rather odd selection of languages, both server-side and client-side, and it's not clear what they're trying to accomplish. It seems to me that the languages they're supporting (Ruby, Javascript and C# are just a few) are quite different, and that a framework that supports all of them is going to be alien in all of them.
They might have some interesting ideas, but there's a LOT of duckspeak here that gets in the way of evaluating what this is worth.

You should at least make the effort to read the documentation before giving an opinion. If you can't find any valuable information in that website, then Photoshop is the right tool for you.

Actually I've twice built frameworks that do similar things. The difference is that my goal is to build "reliable applications that are maintainable" and not "robust" (buzzword) applications that are "based on a model-view-controller paradigm." (buzzword)
I'm not against the "model-view-controller" paradigm, but different people use it to describe things that are entirely different.
People are going to vote or not vote for this page on Dzone because of an evaluation they do in less than a minute. People are often going to choose to use a product or not based on "low information". If I was tasked with my boss with being able to spend three months evaluating MVC frameworks for RIA's, then this would all be great.
The reality is that hundreds of programmers are drinking vendor cool-aid with respect to RIA's, and they aren't even aware that there are serious structural difficulties in building apps that actually work. The world needs frameworks like PureMVC, but the web site does everything it can do to destroy any credibility that they've got a real product, which is sad.
Just task somebody with actually running one of their demos, rather than just looking at a screenshot. You'll find that it takes much more time than the average DZoner has to look at an article.
