I have been steadily gaining knowledge and confidence with REST and the philosophy behind it. With resource as the protagonist, URL design is an important activity. Typically, well designed URLs convey more than location of a resource. They represent the theme behind the URL design which makes it easier for the reader to guess.

Its the economy stupid. Sorry could not resist. I think the issue is a matter of the times not the managers. We just came out of a huge surplus of engineers, tough to find a job, willing to work overtime to keep the current one. Problem is that time has ended and many (not all) managers/companies are not realizing it. This will hurt them in the end, the lucky ones will survive to the next engineer surplus. When you loose people based on salary you are loosing quality and replacing with quantity. It works for a little bit.

Simple rule, cheaper usually means worse. So unless your engineers are overpaid, you're loosing money as a rule.
