As you may know if you have been following my shenanigans across the interwebs, I have been hacking away at ruby on rails for a month or two, and I am definitely enjoying the process. I’ve learned a ton, and made a lot of progress. But I have one bone to pick with rails as it has evolved - it’s too easy for a beginner.

When most of the guys start taking easy ways out or scripting and thus cheating their way into markets, thats when the real programmers change things and thus push the envelope using brute force technological innovation.

So you guys will never win since your wins are based on getting away from productivity and hence are temporary phases helping evolution of software development tools.
