Back in the old days of 1996 there were two kinds of people. Those who understood the web, often referred to as “hackers”, and those that didn’t. This is a story about hackers and why they refuse to use CSS.

I'm starting not the like this blog. He's a typical wish-washy, no evidence, broad generalizations kind of guy.
"Show the designers and explain why they can’t have it look just like it would on paper"
Isn't that exactly the point of csszengarden? You *don't* have to compromise with css.

ilazarte: Thing is, I publish one article a week, and most are fact based and explains things down to the basics. Sometimes I get bored though, and that's when these kinds of satirical/humoristic articles emerge.
One example of how the web is different from paper is text zooming. I've heard many designers complain that they can't turn that feature off: "My designs break when users zoom". Designing for the web is just different in some aspects than designing for paper.

@ilazarte: I'm pretty sure this post was sarcastic and/or satirical in tone. Check out the comments cascading down the left side of the page.

Real Hackers don't use network cards. They tap out the 1s and 0s using a telegraph key...
