Google announced today they will release a new browser tomorrow, but has anyone asked why? It's all about learning about your behaviors and target ads.

Google's desire for usage information is nothing new; it already collects anonymous usage data from Google Toolbar users. Frankly, there are many good reasons why Google should want its own stake in the browser market. For example, as Firefox grows larger, it may want a larger cut from its default search contract with Google. Or, if Chrome can grow in tandem with Firefox, then Google is effectively attacking Internet Explorer with two browsers instead of one. All of this is speculative, of course, but, if I were Google, more user data wouldn't even be near the top of my list of reasons to launch a browser.
