Recursion is one of those programming concepts that separate "REAL" programmers
from script kiddies. "REAL" programmers can do their taxes with regular expressions,
write a full blown operating system in native assembly , and real programmers grok
recurssion.

I haven't actually seen anyone struggle to understand recursion. Ever. I think if you're taught by (or learn from tutorials written by) people who understand it, you'll understand it too.

You'd be surprised, I've caught people I would consider the head of their field still get caught up on recursion.
