A company that I know have been using resin for years so far. Now that resin changed its license so that it will be charged per CPU core, they are looking in migrating to tomcat.

Try tomcat 6, was a huge refactor.

Also, for greater tomcat performance, you should use APR. Very easy to setup. I benchmarked w/ and w/out APR, and was definitely a performance improvement.

If you install tomcat 6 as a service, it's an option that will configure for you(provided you can connect to internet)
