The rest-shell provides easy interaction with HTTP services by providing a command-line client that can do the normal HTTP CRUD but also provides a full-featured shell environment that includes tab completion, command history, context variables, SpEL expression language and Basic authentication support. It also "discovers" Spring HATEOAS-compatible REST services to provide URL aliases based on link rel values.
