You may prefer to use Perl, Java, Python or PHP, but do you know how Ruby compares to your programming language? In function and form, features and philosophy, Ruby may have your language beat, hands down.

Less fluff, more stuff.

I'm not seeing many facts that actually mean Ruby is better, just author preferences. Find some actual data, especially on the two most important topics of comparison for a language: project development time & application execution time. If you get at least one of those faster, then you have an argument. If you get both faster then you have a language worth our time.

Avoid this link. There is no substantial language comparison. A quick summary:
Ruby is not PHP
Ruby is not Perl
Ruby is not Java
Ruby is not Python
Therefore Ruby is better.

Don't bother clicking through - this is a page full of adverts where the content seems designed to use controversy to get page views.
