Brazil's President Has a Java Ring!
Sun's Chief Open Source Officer, Simon Phipps, presented Brazilian President Lula with a Java ring to acknowledge his support for open source technology. Lula immediately put it on - see for yourself!

I love how Bruno is shyly in the background, and I notice that President Lula is also sporting a distinctly Red Hat!

Yes, I suggested to Michael Tiemann (also in the line-up) that if he were to give Lula the hat he was holding (you can see it here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/webmink/3675842996/ ), he'd put it on and forget to take it off. I was right - Michael owes me big-time :-)
