Some good questions.
The best is one is 5. What’s the deal with hardware?
The answer to 3. Why would a PC manufacturer want it? There is already a market for this type of OS.

Why Chrome, Not Android? Answer makes no sense. Android is Linux + Java + Browser, Chrome is Linux + Browser (i think). Google's left hand isn't talking to the right hand. I see a big mistake here, you can't create some many different OSes that overlap so much. It divides developer's mind-share. I'm sure if Palm's WebOS made it to NetBooks, it would be WebOS not some other totally different OS. Good platforms are about scale, not reinvention.
