Internet Explorer 8 beta 1 is available to download and begin testing. Understanding your options when dealing with IE8 will help you keep your sites in line.
I really hope they based this on WebKit or Gecko... so we can stop this crazy trend of having to work overtime to support their (MS) next load of non-compliance. :-s Anyone know if they started to use a standard rendering engine?
It will be interesting to see what developers use more often - conditional comments for IE8, or the emulate IE7 metatag. I think it will be conditional comments unless the site rendered in IE8 is really messy. Hopefully we won't have to and everything will work nicely like it does for Fx, Safari, and Opera.
