Pretty and cute? yes. Useful? No. All these fancy javascript animations (don't get me started on preloaded website screenshots on mouse over) remind me of the "good old days" of flash intros that annoyed the heck out of everyone - but weren't they ever so pretty?
Hope these things will disappear the same way.
