Last week I heard Geek Bully bashed a client over the phone for using IE6. Apparently, it is a dead browser now.

A great story.

Unbelievable how stubborn people can be what concerns their habits. There's no reason for them to resist to polite update suggestion. It's almost certain they would not update their browser in 20 years unless they get forced to. So yes, cut support for old IE6, this will get things moving.

Developer Art, I'm not sure that breaking your products for ~20% of users will get you far in life.

Digging around on the Microsoft site, they do have a pretty interesting alternative for developers, as documented on the IEblog wherein they suggest you download a copy of Virtual PC and a disk image for within VPC that includes WinXP+SP2 and IE6. Coolness.
