Welcome to the real world. Gosling had a great gig, creating kewl technologies which Sun gave away until they ran out of money. Larry told him that if you want to collect a check you have to work on products like the Exalogic Elastic Cloud, which Oracle charges cold, hard, cash for. Gosling said that's no fun and walked out.
