JAX-RS: Java API for RESTful web services

It is a POJO-based, HTTP centric API. The API provides a set of annotations and associated classes/interfaces that may be used with POJOs in order to expose them as Web resources.

JAX-RS is so freakin' awesome. If you haven't looked into it, you really should make a dummy project just to see it work. Restful web services are cake in Java with JAX-RS. Combined with JPA, JAX-RS makes it wicked simple to build a database-driven web service.
