Objective database abstraction layer (ODAL) is a high-performance database manipulation framework. Features include query API, O-R mapping, data validation/conversion, stored procedure support, code generation. Combining power of standard ORM with SDO DAS like features, ODAL does not use any byte code manipulation or proxy techniques. With ODAL you can start a simple project by reverse engineering the database and gradually add complexity as your application grows. ODAL performs well in "standard" as well as batch type of application. Internal cache can be clustered with Terracotta JVM.
