James Ward politely pointed out some links where I could see more Flex in action (not the book). After spending some time doing this I started doing a bit of home brewing of my own with Flex. Here are a few reasons why Flex looks appealing to me (in no particular order).

From the website..
Flex is a highly productive, - meaing out of the box and less code
free open source framework for building - open source
and maintaining expressive web applications that deploy consistently on all major browsers, desktops, and operating systems. - works across all browser

-- sorry greg usually your stuff is good, but repeating what is said in the first paragraph on the flex homepage, is not that interesting. :)

Ha, I didn't even realize I did that. I tend to gloss over home pages and honestly, I can't remember the last time I went to the actual Flex homepage. There is much better Flex information on other sites. :) Oh well, I guess I agree with Adobe then?
