The latest version of SpringSource Tool Suite (STS), an Eclipse-based development environment for building Spring applications, supports Spring 3.0 and OSGi Development Tools. SpringSource development team recently announced the release of the first Release Candidate of SpringSource Tool Suite 2.1.0 version. The new version also supports run time integration with Amazon EC2 and VMware tools.

Wow, 6 times the word Spring (SpringSource) in one link announcement. All new Spring version now support Spring Marketing 2.0.

Hi Fred,
Spring has definitely become more than an IoC and AOP container in the recent years and there is a commercial part to SpringSource group now. But I think if used in the right context Spring Framework projects (like Batch, Roo, Web Flow, Integration etc which are all free to use) do make every day's J2EE development easier and more productive. Have you used Spring in your projects? If so, do you have any positive or negative experience with using it?
