It does seem unlikely that the bubble will burst in quite the same way as it did last time. After all, the hot money that went into dotcoms in the late 90s went into the housing market rather than technology this time around.
We are in another bubble time and I hope for Web3 or 4 finally we can setup right and have our jobs back. I really miss the 80's, Computer Science was more fun in that time.

I reckon Web 3.0 will be when everyone gets SDSL and can host their own stuff
Then Web 4.0 will be when someone makes sense of the mess from Web 3.0 ;-)
