In my last post, I made an offhand reference to the fact that object constructors are worthless in Java. I was asked why this is, so I thought I'd fill in the details.
I don't know why its being voted down, there are valid points, and read "Effective Java" i think right in the first chapter joshua bloch mentions the same types of things.

Josh Bloch mentions some similar concerns never does he say that constructors are worthless.

i agree stating they are worthless is a overstatement of the problem, but the concerns are still valid regardless
