NetBeans IDE 6.1 contains a completely new JavaScript editor which provides many advanced editing capabilities, such as intelligent code completion, mark occurences, instant rename, on-the-fly analysis of JavaScript libraries, support for many Ajax frameworks and more. Looks great. To bad Eclipse and NetBeans are 2 different products, so much duplicate effort and lost productivity. Competition good, Java module reuse bad. At this point in Java's life cycle, joining forces would have been a better choice for both projects.
