It is becoming apparent that even as it becomes popular, REST (Representational State Transfer) is not yet as well understood. This might seem a surprising statement, but a lot of us use REST thanks to many frameworks supporting REST like interfaces, have a sense of what REST like interfaces are like (even if such an understanding is not sufficiently accurate), and exercise our common sense in using such interfaces.
