I spoke last week at a user group in the Boston area, the fourth time I've done so since the Windows 8 Developer Preview was released last fall. And not coincidentally, this was the fourth time in a row I spoke exclusively about Windows 8: People are fascinated by--and scared by--Microsoft's next operating system in ways they haven't been since Longhorn or, perhaps, Windows 95. It's something that I even I need to keep in the back of my mind since of course I have my own doubts, most of which are directly related to Microsoft's refusal to speak clearly about its plans.
