This project started with a desire to bring the quality of the Perl Cookbook to the Ruby Community. I had a contract with Addison-Wesely in negotiation and was going to sign it when some life-altering events took place. As a result, I dropped the project and pretty much everything else at the time. For all intents and purposes, this project is dead, but let us just call it "Deferred Indefinitely". Shall we?

I'm not sure I understand this one. Is the author planning to fill in the blanks, is he looking for the community to do this, or is this thing just put here because someone may benefit from the partial work he had already completed before he had to quit working on it?

I _was_ going to finish it, but a major life-event got in the way. Now I don't know what I should do with it. I've thought about merging in PLEAC with it, since it is essentially the same thing, but *shrug*

But there is a "Ruby Cookbook" that was recently released. I have it, and it seems pretty good so far, like the rest of the cookbook series.
