Using the Ruby on Rails platform in an “Enterprise” environment is an unnecessary risk. Just when your company is on the verge of success you realize that you have a severely under-performing application on a platform that provides few options to scale. Example: Twitter

Very much an opinion piece... The one article they cite in regards to scaling is an old Tech Crunch article which was immediately debunked. And despite mentioning IBM's support for PHP, there's no mention of Sun's support for Ruby and Rails which continues to grow tremendously.
