If you try code completion on any complicated arbitrary expression, it will show you a number of possible method completions along with the corresponding class. This gives you much the same information as ri.

Tor is doing some awesome work on his Ruby IDE. Now if only I can figure out how to get the code out of CVS. It is not even Alpha yet, but I would sure like to take a peek.

Agreed. If RDT 0.9 wasn't going to be so awesome, I'd be jealous of NetBeans. ;-)

I have used RDT. I am a fan of Eclipse but RDT does not seem to be going anywhere. Development has almost stopped. No code completetion... Again, I say, I love Eclipse, but RDT not so much.

They've got a new release coming out within a month or so. Code completion, refactoring, more advanced syntax highlighting and outlining (by generating an AST). Cool stuff.
