I have done Pascal, C, C++, Java, PHP, Ruby, Groovy and recently Scala, which I found it to be a unique language compared to anything else I have ever worked with. My journey with this language started after the Twitter's Ruby vs Scala debate. Now and after few months of work with this language I really want to share you two ideas that are no secrets anymore:
* Scala Does Rock.
* I do believe this language should be taught in CS colleges and institutes.
Now, let's dive into the some reasons that's makes Scala my next language of choice

I think Scala is cool but the tooling support is awful. The plugin for eclipse just plain sucks, it crashed many times eclipse and have very very few features compared with other programming languages plugins. If they dont fix the tooling in Scala it will never get there.

Agreed. However, there is hope. The Eclipse plugin is currently being re-written from scratch I believe, and in fact by the Scala people themselves.
I don't actually use Eclipse, I use IntelliJ IDEA, and that seems to have pretty good Scala support these days.

How can he be a victim of propaganda if he has actually used it for a few months? Or actually used it at all - unlike you I should imagine given your comments.

A "victim of propaganda" who curiously happens to be able to coherently articulate his own reasons for favouring Scala.

Great! Kick-ass, well informed overview of Scala!

I will judge by myself if it is a propaganda or not :)

The most hilarious feature of scala is its integrated constructor
