Both Netbeans and Eclipse are mature IDE’s. Both started off as a editors for java and have come a long way and can no longer be considered as java code editors. This review compares both the IDE’s based on usability, features and performance.

Neither. IntelliJ beats them both.

It's got a good list of features for NetBeans, but the author obviously wasn't too familiar with Eclipse or its distribution mechanism since he missed obvious things like the excellent CDT and the pre-packaged WTP and J2EE tools.

In most areas, Eclipse can match NetBeans feature-for-feature. Both IDEs have their advantages and disadvantages (Eclipse's Java editor is still more powerful, and its refactorings are second only to IntelliJ), but this article seems to have simplified the entire comparison field down to a few minor feature categories. -1

Be warned that this page is full of ads, including a javascript ad of soft core porn that will go full browser.

And the article is a hacked stich up of other blog posts in recent weeks. And frankly is just plain factually wrong in many places.

Enjoy!
