Small Footprint Embedded Database Offered for Windows 8 and Windows Phone 8
McObject is now offering Perst for .NET, its object-oriented, open source embedded database management system, for use on Microsoft Windows 8 and Windows Phone 8 (WP8) platforms. The freely downloadable DBMS targets Windows applications that will run on devices across the hardware spectrum, from traditional PCs and laptops to touch-screen smartphones, tablets and convertible (touch-screen/keyboard) devices. Perst is already used widely in mobile software for WP7, Android and Java ME.
