Sometimes it seems like there is an insurmountable gap in understanding between the Suits (i.e. folks in Marketing, Sales/Business Development, Creative) and the Geeks (folks in Development, Operations, Infrastructure). How can we make communication between two groups, each with fundamentally different perspectives on tasks and how to complete them, work together successfully? This article examines some humorous examples of "smelly communication", the reasons why even speaking the same language isn't always enough, and some helpful hints for improving the general communication smell around the office.
