The idea that programmers control the software and may think they know better is not socialist in any way.

It could be described mnore accurately as professionalism, or in the case of a company that sells software successfully,
capitalism.

I think your referring to egalitarianism, which has no place in the creation of anything.

Its not the role of software engineers to convince the customer, or the stakeholders of a correct solution.
Its their role to implement the solution while the salespeople bullshit the customer into believing it.

There is no perfect solution. Only what the customer thinks they want, and what gets delivered....and lawyers.

Your socialism analogy is total bullshit.
