I complained not long ago about the lack of a WebDAV library for my favourite languages, one of which is Lisp. I've been learning Lisp for a couple of months, and I've become pretty proficient with it. It's a beautiful language that mixes some of my favourite features: meta-programming (with macros), pedantic regularity (with *everything* being an s-expression), tail-recursion, and portability. (Sadly, it doesn't mix my very favourites, concurrency and scalability, or unixyness.)
But I've slowly come to the realisation that as much as I like the language, it's not useful to me.

You chose the bad tool so Lisp is not powerful. Interesting point.
