Spatial Databases - Abstract Nonsense
If you haven’t already tried it, Geospatial Indexing in Mongo is a pretty powerful tool that makes it easy to develop location based apps. For those interested in how geospatial indexing is implemented, be sure to check out the wiki article on R-trees.
