In order to be productive, repetitive tasks need to be quick and painless. Refreshing your application is one of those repetitive tasks that need to be quick and painless. Spring 2.0.4 makes great strides in that direction. Matt Schmidt from JavaLobby & DZone picked up One of my previous posts on the subject of reloading a Spring application (Thanks Matt), and the Spring team added a good portion of the refresh functionality I really wanted into 2.0.4, and threw in some performance enhancements for free. There's definitely more room for improvement, but this is a giant leap for developer kind... or at least a step forward.
