Back when Mike Belshe was still at Google, he used to keep saying that SSL was the unoptimized frontier. Unfortunately, even years later, it still is. There’s low hanging fruit everywhere, and most folks, myself included, don’t know what they’re doing. Tons of people are making basic mistakes. Anyone deploying a website served over HTTPS really ought to read Adam Langley’s post on overclocking SSL. T
