Sun Microsystems has unleashed Java Store at store.java.com. The purpose of this store is to give opportunities to developers to make money by showcasing their Java applications.
@CodeJustin, because they intend to charge for applications, they would need to negotiate each country individually to account for stuff like VAT/National taxes. I would expect the rollout to be similar to how Android is doing it. US first, Canada/Mexico next and then spreading to Europe and Asia.
