I continue to benefit from my super-simple framework, without using any established orm frameworks like hibernate or spring.
Despite years of using Hibernate, I still have to use raw JDBC a lot (or through a light wrapping). I think that sums it up.
Well said. For most projects I think they are more trouble than worth it. YAGNI
