Tailcalls proposed for the JVM?
John Rose, chair of JSR 292(you know, good ol' invokedynamic), seems to have proposed adding tail call support to the JVM. Yep, Tail Calls. Basically it's supposed to be a prefix to the various invoke bytecodes.
