This is the fifth report based on TechDebt.org, a perfect occasion for us to review the past year with metrics, a collection of previous experts interviews (Ward Cunningham, Philippe Kruchten, Israel Gat, Ipek Ozkaya and Jean-Louis Letouzey) and the results of our survey sent to a hundred of IT organizations on how they define and manage Technical Debt of their software development projects. TechDebt.org is the first collaborative & open benchmarking dashboard on Technical Debt and Software Quality. The site provides you with several metrics regarding the technical debt for a large panel of applications. Information is anonymously collected thanks to Scertify™ Refactoring Assessment, an open-source plugin for Sonar. Whenever an audit is performed on Sonar, the plugin anonymously collects some metrics and passes them to the site.
