Bootstrap is as their authors call it, a sleek, intuitive, and powerful front-end framework for faster and easier web development. For this reason it has been the go-to front-end framework for many people due to the rapidity in which a project can be made, be it a website or a web app. So, how has it gotten so popular? That’s not at all difficult to find out. It has a lot of built-in features that save you the hassle of writing the code yourself. Its main attractions are its responsive layout, custom form elements, typography, JavaScript interaction, cross-browser compatibility and buttons.

Nice article and pros and cons on using Bootstrap. Especially the list of sample sites using Bootstrap as well as alternatives to Bootstrap make it a useful article.
